Lu Krawczyk
A senior in the Health Fitness Management program, Lu Krawczyk endeavors to pursue a career in game-day operations for a professional sports franchise. She has gained experience with game-day management with Alfred University Athletics and completed an internship with the International Ice Hockey Federation Junior World Championships. Lu also enjoyed a summer internship in 2018 as one of the first award recipients of Alfred University's APEX (applied and experiential learning) program.
Lu, a health fitness management major, enjoyed a three-month summer work experience at IMG Sports Academy in Bradenton, FL, thanks to funding supplied by Alfred University's APEX (applied and experiential learning) program. APEX provides juniors and seniors awards of up to $1,000 to support a wide range of experiences including internships, co-ops, study abroad opportunities and research projects. Thanks to the ongoing generosity exhibited by Alfred University alumni, APEX grants will increase to $2,000 by 2021.
Lu, a catcher on the women's softball team at AU, also earned Empire 8 Fall President's List 2017-2018.
